Delta City Police Department Personnel Profiles:
The need for special units focused on combating the MAC criminal element of
Delta City became apparent during the Block Riots after the first I.A.I.
(Individual Artificial Intelligence) equipped MAC (Manufactured Android Citizen)
committed a series of daring robberies.  The police seemed unable to stop
him, and even the elite S.W.A.T. units were finding it difficult to bring him down.

The Council granted permission for the DCPD to create the MAC Crime Units,
or MCUs.  These units would get the best training, equipment, and only the
best of the best could even try out.  It was, for a time, an all Human
contingency.  Then along came Jacyn Drake, commander of C-Squad, 13th
Precinct MCU.  He hand picked his elite team from the absolute best of the
best that all of DCPD had to offer...whether they were Human, or MAC.

But, is the Crash Squad walking too close to the thin line that separates the
Cops from the Criminals?  Unorthodox, and in your face as they may be...no
one can deny that Drake and the C-Squad get results.

Early in his career, Drake showed potential.  However, his brash attitude, and
seeming disregard for rigid adherence to the rules has earned him a
considerable amount of criticism.

Drake caught the attention of the 13th Precinct's Captain, Earl Hoffman, after
he tried out for S.W.A.T.  He excelled in the S.W.A.T.  Unit, and soon after
making the team, was leading his own squad.  For Drake, though, this wasn't
enough.  After only two years on S.W.A.T, he tried out for the MCU.

Jacyn Drake, once again, made a name for himself by assessing through the
selection process for MCU without any re-training.  That is an achievement
which has been accomplished by only three percent of MCU applicants.

After fourteen months on DCPD MCU's D-Squad, Drake was asked by
Captain Hoffman to lead his own squad.  He was given command of
C-Squad, 13th Precinct MCU.  Immediately after this appointment, Drake
respectfully dismissed all the members of C-Squad, and held try-outs for his
new unit.  He offered the then current members of C-Squad a chance to try out
and get their old positions back.  These tryouts disappointed Drake very
much.  He did not accept a single applicant to the squad.  Instead, he opted
for a new tactic.

Taking the search for team members into his own hands, Drake then set out
across all of Delta City to hand pick and recruit members individually.  He
believed that the best of the best meant that it didn't matter if the team
member was a Human, or a MAC.  This was controversial, in that NO MCU
had ever used MACs before.  Though there were no laws prohibiting MACs
taking part in the MCUs...it was considered a risky move.

After a search through DCPD, which took the better part of two months, Drake
had found his team.  Despite the controversy of having MACs on the squad,
Drake and the C-Squad have proven to be the most effective MCU in the entire
Delta City Police Force.

It is this level of effectiveness that has kept Drake employed, when many
would like to see him taken off the streets.  He has enemies on both sides of
the law, and is under constant scrutiny.  His "in your face" tactics have earned
his team the nick name "Crash Squad," as well as much unnecessary
attention from Captain Hoffman.

One thing is for sure.  If you are on Drake's hit list...it is only a matter of time
before the Crash Squad comes gunning for you. Whatever you do...don't try to
run...Drake hates that.
Name: Gibson   Rank: Lieutenant, Special Unit (MCU)

Age: (physical) 17 (I.A.I. Relative Age) 27

Serial Number:  Rez-21-A4897-554-69875-24B

Affiliation: Delta City Police Department, C-Squad, 13th
Precinct  MCU
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lieutenant Gibson is one of  a newer model of MAC that has only started
widespread circulation throughout Delta City.  He is Drake's second in
command, as well as his best friend.  Neither really knows why.

Gibson started off in the Delta City Police Department just like anyone else.
Though it didn't take long for his fellow officers to notice that Officer Gibson
wasn't like most other cops.

He excelled at the academy, where he graduated first in his class, and set
academy records for scores in analysis, and criminal profiling.  He
immediately took to the more technical side of police work and actively sought
a position as a negotiator.

His record and performance earned him a position as the lead negotiator for
the 7th, 9th, and 12th precincts...simultaneously.  He was also asked to lead
seminars on negotiation techniques, as well as giving special instruction at
the academy.

Gibson's personality is quite unique...even by human standards.  He is what
we would call....well, lazy.  He hates to exert himself...even though physical
activity has little effect on him.  He has very distinct likes and dislikes and is
not at all afraid to vocalize them.

Lieutenant Gibson is fascinated with human society and culture and
constantly strives to learn more about the humans he must interact with.  He
is especially interested in the family dynamic and is curious as to why some
MACs tend to create their own family units...though it defies any logic.

Gibson was the first member that Drake recruited for C-Squad.  He was rather
impressed with Gibson's analytical abilities, as well as his knack for getting
inside the mind of the MAC.  It was after a hostage situation, in which five
members of the MAC Nation (a terrorist organisation in Delta City) held twenty
seven human men, women, and children inside a barricaded building and
threatened to blow them all up if their demands were not met.

After only an two hours of talking, Gibson convinced the terrorists to let every
single human go, and turn themselves in...without firing a single shot.  His
tendency to talk his way out of situations is still his preferred method of
dealing with things.  He will only run if absolutely necessary, and refuses to
carry a gun.

Gibson leads the team in Drake's absence, though that is as high as he can
go, due to the laws that prohibit MACs from being placed in positions of
authority over humans.  This doesn't bother Gibson, as he is happy to stay
where he is...professionally that is.

But, Don't let Gibson's relaxed attitude fool you.  Drake put him on the team for
a reason...pray you never find out what that reason is.
